Summary: The Accounting/Finance Internship is an unpaid position responsible for working specific project(s) assigned by the Controller and/or the Chief Finance Officer (CFO).


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• To be determined and assigned by the Controller and/or CFO based on the knowledge and skills of the individual.


Education and/or Experience: The job requires the incumbent to be at least in the completion of the junior year of college major in Accounting. Some experience in accounting jobs like internal auditing, financial report preparation and financial feasibility study is preferred.

Language Skills: The position requires the following: Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies and procedures; Ability to write creatively and articulately with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy; Ability to speak effectively with management and other accounting/finance employees.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office Suite products including Outlook, Word, Excel and a working understanding of a network and shared folders.

Confidentiality: The position is exposed to confidential information while in the course of duty. The individual is expected to treat all such information with extreme confidentiality. The volunteer is also expected to not disclose and/or discuss any information with any party, unless with approval/permission from supervisors.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.

Work Hours and Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to quiet. The intern is required to work at a minimum of 10 to 24 hours per week with at least 3 to 6 months duration (prefer 1 year commitment).
