Description

This position is for someone who would like to put what they are learning in their accounting class to good use. All our employees have started as interns. Interns are assigned clients in which they work with everyday. The intern also serves as the Administrative assistant to the Owner of the Company who is also an elected official (Commissioner Christi Fraga for City of Doral). We promise in this Internship you will do much more than get the coffee! The Owners of the Business also own 3 other businesses!

Responsibilities

o Provide office support functions including word processing, filing, copying, composing a variety of business documents, reception, gathering and compiling data, and balancing and coordinating a workload for multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
o Provide lead and/or back up receptionist support to include greeting visitors in person or by telephone and to connect those with the appropriate staff person or services that will best serve their needs in a friendly, professional manner.
o Assist in drafting forms, printing and copying information for distribution.
o Receive, send, and distribute faxes, emails and telephone calls.
o Assist departments with special projects including distribution of information, data entry, filing,and research.
o Provide support for administration staff.
o Scan, copy and file agency contracts.
o Identify problems and implement or recommend solutions
o Interact effectively with supervisors, officials, employees, and the general public
o Learn and adapt to new technology as it relates to office practices and procedures.
o Maintain confidentiality of information
o Work effectively despite interruptions, and have attention to detail
o Plan, organize, and prioritize work
o Proofread documents and other work
o Use a computer, related software, transcribing equipment, and other standard office equipment

Requirements

Some Coursework (preferably in accounting, marketing, or journalism)
Some Knowledge of Quickbooks is good but not required (We WILL TRAIN)
PEOPLE SKILLS a must!
