DescriptionThe account manager is responsible for the management of monthly sales orders and relationships with their assigned customers. The account manager serves as the interface between customer service and the sales team in a company. The successful account manager will seek to understand the customer's preferences and plan how to meet their particular demands. The successful account manager will add to the company’s value by increasing monthly sales orders on a consistent basis.
ResponsibilitiesGenerate sales for a portfolio of accounts and reach the company's sales target
Identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts
Manage and solve conflicts with clients and refer to management when necessary
Interact and coordinate with the sales team and other staff members in other departments working on the same account
Meet time deadlines for accounts
Establish regular monthly contact and follow up with customers
Report directly to the account director on activity and status of accounts and ask for assistance when needed
RequirementsOutgoing personality and high aptitude for sales and customer service
Two or four-year degree is required
Previous experience in an account manager position preferred but not required.
Professional phone skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills including proper grammar and writing
Good planning and organization
