Description

Position Description:
The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for processing accounts payable and other related functions of the Finance department in an expeditious and accurate manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Sort, code, and match invoices
Prepare and perform check runs, file
Prepare and post general journal transactions
Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
Assist with month-end closing
Responsible for monthly accounting of prepaid funds/provides information to other departments regarding prepaid fund balances
Act as backup for processing of monthly profit share, as needed

Knowledge/Skills:
Proficient in Excel, Word, and data entry
Excellent organizing and prioritizing skills
Attention to detail and accuracy, and problem solving skills required
Ability to meet deadlines consistently
Confidentiality in all aspects is required for this position
Excellent communication
