Description

Ladlas Prince is an international group of professional firms, specializing in management services: consulting, internal audit, advising, and compliance; along with information technology and security, for small/private companies, middle market, and government entities and program.

The available position is Accounting Intern (Jr Accountant).
Good performance in 90 days will lead to paid fulltime or part time hire (your choice).

Responsibilities

The job of Junior Accountant was established for the purpose/s of providing support to senior accountants with specific responsibility for the processing, recording, updating and reconciling financial information in compliance with established policies; providing instructions, recommendations and/or accounting support to other personnel; and analyzing expenses against budget.

Assist senior staff for the purpose of providing supporting documentation and/or information on internal process that is required for operation, including:
•prepare journal entries
•complete general ledger operations
•monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statements
•reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts
•draw up monthly financial reports
•prepare analysis of accounts as requested
•assist with year end closings
•administer accounts receivable and accounts payable
•prepare tax computations and returns
•assist in preparing budgets and forecasts
•assist with payroll administration
•monitor and resolve bank issues including fee anomalies and check differences
•account/bank reconciliations
•review and process expense reports
•assist with preparation and coordination of the audit process
•assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures

Requirements

You need to be able to show a particular set of skills sets. This may include:
Education/Experience:
•Students with Accounting or Finance or business related majors
•Associates or Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
•knowledge of accounting principles and practices
•knowledge of finance principles
•knowledge of financial reporting
•Knowledge of local, state and federal laws regarding accounting, finances and taxation
•technical accounting skills
•previous experience of general accounting
•proficiency in relevant accounting software
