Who We Are
Founded in 2002, Metamorphasis Powerhouse Company (@MetIncPowerCo) hit the ground running as a pioneering, nonprofit community-based convenor organization working to enhance the quality of life for Georgia families.
Through turnkey educational programs and strategic partnerships that extend access to life skills for people in crisis, our vision is to help society evolve, strive, and reach beyond the struggles of life's obstacles and transform today's inequities into brighter tomorrow's.

Our 2 Tenets
it is difficult, often impossible, to raise healthy children in a disintegrated community. Without local institutions that draw families and young people together around common interests and activities—social, religious, cultural, and recreational organizations, effective schools, safe and well-used public spaces—even the most heroic child-rearing is likely to fail.

Conversely, by bringing together and organizing members of the community around common interests—particularly the healthy development of children—even the most devastating conditions can be reversed.

Behind our mission lie two main tenets. First, children from troubled communities are far more likely to grow to healthy, self-reliant adulthood (and then to help build a better community themselves) if a critical mass of the adults around them are well versed in the techniques of effective parenting and are engaged in local educational, social, and religious activities with their children. Second, the earlier a child is served by sound health care, appropriate intellectual and social stimulation, and consistent guidance from loving, attentive adults, the more likely that child will be to grow into a productive citizen.

These twin principles—a critical mass of engaged, effective families and early and progressive intervention in children’s development—form the foundation of the Just Say YES to Youth Initiative, Metamorphasis Powerhouse Company's signature learning and mentoring program.

By concentrating services on children and residents in a specific geographic area, providing best-practice turn-key services, engaging adults to close intergenerational gaps with youth in our programs, and evaluating the results, our vision is to transform challenges into 2nd chances, and create standard-bearing positive life expectations, and outcomes for families living in Georgia communities.
