DescriptionPawprints NY, a small business that offers dog walking services to Manhattan residents, is seeking an ambitious, knowledgeable, and independent Accounting/Financial Analysis intern. The Accounting/Financial Analysis intern will be working closely with senior management to support firm operations. This is an excellent, hands-on opportunity for an intern looking for solid experience working with financial services.
Candidates most suited for this position will have strong leadership and decision making skills as well as a roll-up-the-sleeves mentality when it comes to problem solving. We are looking for someone that can keep a high level of professionalism at all times, acting as the face of the company over the phone and face to face with clients and vendors, but still be able to thrive in a fun and energetic environment.
ResponsibilitiesPreparing monthly financial statements
Completing detailed analysis of account balances
Developing annual budgets
Producing cash flow projections
Calculating and entering time sheets
Filing paid invoices and organizing vendor files
RequirementsAssociate degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance or related field.
Must have knowledge of accounting principles.
Must be extremely knowledgeable in QuickBooks.
Must be efficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
Have excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Must be organized
