Paid internship assisting the USTA business unit with project-driven tasks in the areas which may include marketing, finance, IT, etc. These positions report to the department manager. The internship runs between the dates of June 19th through August 17th. The pay is $12/hour based on a 32 hours workweek. No housing provided. There are 10 internships, please select up to two of the Departments. (NTC – National Tennis Center, Flushing, NY, WP- White Plains, NY
Information Technology (80% NTC, 20% WP)
Candidate should be studying computer science of information systems, be proficient in networking, Windows and Macintosh Operating Systems, Microsoft Office and Google for Work apps. Responsibilities may include setup of desktop and laptop computers, setup of computers and assisting in the testing of networking equipment.
Ticket Operations (NTC)
Candidate should be skilled in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Word, Excel and Access. Must also have strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills. Must have the ability to learn quickly and efficiently. Candidates with ability to speak, read and/or write in multiple languages will be given preference.
Digital Strategy & Partnerships (WP)
Candidate must proficient in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Candidate should also have an interest and basic knowledge of digital industry trends.
Candidate should have working knowledge of Excel, specifically for accounting and managing/manipulating inventory lists. Must have great attention to detail, be approachable, have an upbeat personality and be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
Video Services (WP)
Candidate must have basic to moderate experience with editing and graphics software, including Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Avid, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator. Must also have basic to moderate experience with field production, including the use of ENG & DSLR video cameras, audio and lighting equipment. Experience with teleprompters not required, but a plus. Basic experience with logging media files, MS Word, Excel and Outlook also required.
USTA Foundation (WP)
Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. They should be passionate about working with under-resourced youth and communities. Candidate should have with experience with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. Should also be a strong writer and researcher with the ability to work on a team. Must work well under the pressure of deadlines.
Applicant should have excellent analytical and math skills, with the ability to work in teams. Candidates studying computer science or mathematics with the ability to analyze data are strongly encouraged to apply.

RequirementsMarketing/Social Media (WP)
Candidate must be personally active on social media or have a personal blog and/or vlog. Should have a passion for social media and an eagerness to understand enterprise social media. Know how to post/search/tag on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and SnapChat. Keen interest in youth sports, gaming and engaging with a Gen Y audience. Ideal candidate has experience using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, is a self-starter and creative thinker and is seeking a career in digital publishing/custom content creation.
Creative Marketing (WP)
Candidate must have a working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite software packages: INDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Knowledge of Flash is helpful. Ideal candidate is a current design student.
Candidate must be creative and adept at time management, have savvy interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, and strong computer skills. Ability to continue work through the duration of the 2017 US Open a plus, but not required.
