I AM not the MEdia, Inc. is a non-profit organization in Charlotte, NC. The mission of the organization is to empower adolescents to become conscious viewers of the media, critical decision makers, and to embrace their individuality and uniqueness. The organization was incorporated in May 2011 and is a 501C3 tax exempt organization.. We are very grateful that you are interested in pursuing an internship with the organization. Position Description:

•Answers phone calls, checks voicemail daily, emails correspondence to proper individuals in organization. •Checks email accounts everyday which include (mail@iamnotthemedia.org / info@iamnotthemedia.org ) Respond to all emails or forward to the intended individual for correspondence •Coordinates and maintains records dealing with the organization •Submits emails to all staff including but not limited to: reminders, updates and pertinent information regarding the organization •Files and documents all paperwork regarding staff, volunteers and other organization documents •Places and submits orders for the organization, including supply orders, program materials, etc. •Meets with Executive Director once a week •Record and maintain minutes from meetings/creates organization's monthly calendar/schedules Exec Director's meetings

Requirements

•Ability to work under pressure •Ability to manage several projects •Must have good computer skills (Word, Excel, Access) and in general be comfortable with technology •Effective oral and written communication skills •Good analytical and organizational skills •Be proactive and adaptable to change
