DescriptionLighting Distinctions is hiring for a paid internship. Compensation: $8.00/hr.

Lighting Distinctions is a small, family owned business which specializes in residential and commercial interior and exterior lighting design. Lighting Distinctions has been providing full service lighting all over the United States since 1992, leaving customers satisfied from Hawaii all the way to Panama. The owner is currently looking for an assistant to work 9am-5pm Monday through Friday . Must be flexible to work additional hours as needed, reliable, dependable, and trustworthy. Great benefits available after 90 days including health insurance and 401k.
Responsibilities•Answer heavy phone calls/ light phone sales
•Draft and revise correspondence on behalf of staff including: memos, letters, fax, emails
•Copy scan file and fax documents as needed
•Administrative support for business owner
•Interact with employees and clients
•Spreadsheet reports and data entry
•Miscellaneous office tasks and projects
•Marketing/Advertising experience a huge plus
•Need to be able to work independently and be creative. Many tasks that arise are new so must be able to problem-solve on your own with little direction
•Must be organized and keep company organized
Requirements•Typing speed minimum 60-75 WPM with test a MUST!
•Strong phone skills a must
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills very important
•Strong organizational skills
•Must enjoy working in a fast paced environment
•Strong knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Photoshop
•Knowledge of QuickBooks
•Pleasant and professional phone demeanor. Will be calling past customers to solicite them to purchase more product. So phone skills is a must.
•Neat and professional appearance
•Ability to multi-task, prioritize and, work independently
•Bilingual is a plus
