I AM not the MEdia, Inc. is a non-profit organization in Charlotte, NC. The mission of the organization is to empower adolescents to become conscious viewers of the media, critical decision makers, and to embrace their individuality and uniqueness. The organization was incorporated in May 2011 and is a 501C3 tax exempt organization.. We are very grateful that you are interested in pursuing an internship with the organization. Fundraising Intern Position Description:

•Manages and oversees the "PRO-ME-LINE" and Campaign Store •Researches, plans and implements funding/fundraising strategies for programs, events and overall organization •Develops relationships with donors and sponsors •Researches and oversees the process for submitting and receiving grant funding •Updates comprehensive records and database of funders and sources of funds •Tracks all donations received by the organization •Plans and manages approved fundraising budgets and timelines • Prepares and presents funding reports for the organization

Responsibilities

Requirements

•Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Business, Finance or Accounting; or equivalent training and experience in fund raising related field to demonstrate fundraising expertise •Proven success in fundraising development •Demonstrated success in personally building, developing and retaining strong, positive relationships •Effective oral and written communication and analytical skills •Demonstrated computer database management skills •Sound organizational skills; self-motivated; creative •Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff members, and to work well with others in a team setting
