Serve as the first point of contact for visitors and clients of the Housing and Homelessness Prevention department; answer phones, handle inquiries and correspondence; direct visitors and clients to the appropriate staff for assistance. Manage administrative tasks and projects within the department (filing, data entry, ordering supplies, etc). Responsible for routing housing contracts and other confidential documents as necessary. Learn and carry out all general departmental functions and provide coverage and/or assistance to staff when necessary. Maintain data integrity and confidentiality. Perform other related duties as needed.
Must be able to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse educational, socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional organizational skills. Attention to accuracy. Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Excellent communication skills. High School Diploma or equivalent required; degree preferred. Ongoing and flexible hours.
