DescriptionThe Humane League, a national animal rights nonprofit organization, has an immediate opening for an Administrative/Operations Intern to work 20 hours a week in their busy Center City office in Philadelphia.
The Humane League's work on behalf of farmed animals focuses on grassroots outreach and education; we're growing rapidly due to our results-oriented, innovative campaigns. Internships at The Humane League are unpaid but perfect for a student interested in learning about nonprofit management and/or the animal rights community. This internship focuses on administration and operations management. It is great experience for someone who is looking to learn about non profit organization management and growth as intern will be working directly with our Director of Operations.
College credit available for interns who work on a consistent basis depending on your school's requirements.
ResponsibilitiesDay-to-day responsibilities and tasks will vary widely but will include assisting us with office management, managing our membership database, processing donations, event planning, etc.
Candidates interested in learning about and working with campaigns and education should look at other The Humane League internships or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. While the admin/operations intern will have a chance to work with these programs, this internship focuses specifically on non profit operations and management.
RequirementsMust be familiar with, or willing to learn, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs and Social Media. Passion for animals preferable. Interest in nonprofit management required.
