DescriptionThis position is an administrative position for a small health and lifestyle business.
The company is solely managed by its owner and creator Emily Sullivan. She is a public figure whose company focuses on helping people create the health and life they love.
She works with private clients, hosts a weekly online video channel, writes weekly blog posts, and leads live and online workshops for people in New York and around the world.
The internship is a part time position for a man or woman who wants to gain experience in administrative tasks and business management, and online marketing.
The position has the potential to become a paid position if you are the right fit.
The company is based out of Emily's home in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn so you must be willing to travel here and also be able to work from home on some days and be productive.
ResponsibilitiesMain responsibilities will include:
Researching health and wellness blogs, Emailing publishers and online companies for publicity, Search engine optimization, scheduling social media posts, updating the blog, generally managing online presence and staying on top of what needs improvement in terms of online presence.
You will be learning a lot about running a business online! And getting to put that knowledge into practice.
Other potential responsibilities if capable:
editing weekly videos, using photoshop to create images for website, and making improvements and updates to the website.
It will be fun and never the same any two days so you must be someone who enjoys working in a flow rather than a set structure or system.
RequirementsI am looking for someone who is creative, passionate about doing what they love, self starting, enjoys being on the computer, detail oriented, and wants to learn and improve their business skills. Ideally you are also someone who wants to live a healthier happier live and play an active role in creating the life you love and that is the mission statement of the company.
Comfortable working with a computer, familiar with mac computers, interested in well being, able to work on projects on your own and also be a great communicator with both Emily and customers, and be able to ask for help when you need it to do the best job possible.

My working style is productive and fun, I'm often on a computer or working with a client so you will most likely have tasks you can work on without me.
