Collaborates with: All department and manager level volunteers and the Executive Board
Time Commitment: Part time Volunteer
Job Summary:

Green Lifestyles Network (GLN), is a 501© 3 non-profit organization, and is looking for a Strategic Planning Coordinator to assist our strategic planning team. The planning coordinator is a valuable member of the team as they support our senior planners in the coordinating of the campaign strategy by arranging documents, Collecting, analyzing and reporting the progress and outcomes achieved or that are to be achieved by Green Lifestyles Network and its programs for funders, followers, executive board and other media organizations. Assisting with the development of grant and funding proposals and ensures the submissions reflect Green Lifestyles Network's (GLN) measures of success, plans and strategic activities. Representing GLN on inter-agency committees and networks that may impact the future direction of programming in GLN.

Responsibilities

Green Lifestyles Network (GLN), is a 501© 3 non-profit organization, and is looking for a Strategic Planning Coordinator to assist our strategic planning team. The planning coordinator is a valuable member of the team as they support our senior planners in the coordinating of the campaign strategy by arranging documents, Collecting, analyzing and reporting the progress and outcomes achieved or that are to be achieved by Green Lifestyles Network and its programs for funders, followers, executive board and other media organizations. Assisting with the development of grant and funding proposals and ensures the submissions reflect Green Lifestyles Network's (GLN) measures of success, plans and strategic activities. Representing GLN on inter-agency committees and networks that may impact the future direction of programming in GLN.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. The Planning Coordinator provides leadership in special projects by:

• Identifying potential planning or evaluation projects internal or external to GLN that require dedicated or specific attention
• Coordinating (with the project managers) program or GLN projects undertaken by the organization
• Developing action plans, schedules and timelines for the special projects (in liaison with the Project Managers)
• Developing measures of success for the special projects
• Coordinating the monitoring and evaluation of special projects
• Developing a plan to implement and required changes to programs or services that may result from the special projects

2. The Planning Coordinator ensures integration of planning processes by:

• Participating as a member of the management team in the strategic planning and goal setting process for program and services of all our committees
• Actively contributing to the department management teams to ensure that goals and success measures are considered in the decision-making processes

3. The Planning Coordinator improves alignment of services and programs across departments by:

• Identifying departments with same or similar client programming services to participate in a cluster to share the support of the Planning Coordinator
• Providing a forum on a regular basis for the planning shared services cluster to discuss planning related challenges, successes and activities
• Conducting cross-committee planning and evaluation projects identified by the cluster of value to the cluster department
• Conducting department -specific projects and activities to support planning and evaluation processes that leverages the collective knowledge within the cluster

4. The Planning Coordinator engages in a process of continuous learning and professional
development by:

• Participating in management and Program team meetings and other department or community committees and
meetings as required
• Undertaking designated responsibilities as determined by the Executive Director in

Requirements

Education, Experience :
Post-secondary degree in business, humanities or related discipline

• Experience with strategic and operational planning processes
• Strong written skills with the ability to prepare complex evaluation and funder reports
• Excellent networking skills, with experience working to develop and implement agency partnerships and
• collaborations
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office, with particular expertise with advanced functions in Excel and databases

You will receive:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a nonprofit agency
• Minimum of 1 year program evaluation experience
• Ability to analyze immediate and long term impacts of environmental trends, program opportunities, and
• develop options to address a wide range of potential directions
