ResponsibilitiesThe first vacancy is in the CAS - Reporting and Reconciliation Unit. This position is reponsible for, but is not limited to the following:
Preparing and reconciling the daily collections of delinquent accounts.
Processing payment adjustments, cancellations of returned checks, misapplied payments and refunds.
Preparing and sending the monthly collection transfers, collection details, and associated journal vouchers to the client departments.
The second vacancy is in the CAS - Probation Unit. This position is responsible for, but is not limited to the following:
Processing payment adjustments, cancellation of returned checks, and misapplied payments.
Updating and maintaining the cancelled restitution warrant log for accounting control purposes.
Updating notes regarding the cancelled restitution and replacement warrant information in the accounts receivable system.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and other County departments.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Ability to work independently and follow through with minimal instructions.
Proficient in the operation of computer software applications such as Microsoft Office, databases, etc.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and County fiscal policies
