ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Complies with and stays abreast of all policies and procedures, federal and state laws applicable to the job.
Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of various general ledger accounts.
Process general ledger journal entries and assist with the processing of accounts payable.
Distribution of daily reports for supervisors and management.
Process transactions in sub-ledger systems including fixed assets, prepaid and accounts payable.
Maintain fixed assets system and process all aspects of fixed asset transaction and reports.
Maintenance of general ledger system including opening/closing accounts, Report Command File maintenance, integration and specifications.
Receiving telephone calls skillfully and handling incoming and outgoing mail efficiently.
Perform administrative duties and establish and maintain department files and records.
Any other accounting including accounts payable duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Assist with the preparation of various supporting schedules for regulatory reporting.
Provide, present and promote The Citizens Experience to all external and internal customers.
Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to clients and associates of the organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
