Description

Orange Accountable Care of South Florida is looking for an administrative intern to play an integral part in the company's clinical programs and implementations department. The intern will gain valuable insights into the workings of population health management during an exciting time in the changing landscape of health care in the United States.

Orange Accountable Care of South Florida is an Accountable Care Organization (ACO) that manages the health care of over 20,000 patients in the South Florida area. The purpose of an ACO is to be responsible for the overall costs, quality, and patient satisfaction for healthcare delivered to Medicare FFS patients. OACSFL includes a dedicated and expanding network of primary care physicians whose goals are to improve healthcare quality, reduced per capita expense, and increase patient satisfaction.


What you will learn:

Population health management strategies

Data and analytical systems

Patient Chart assessment

Electronic Medical Record navigation

Patient care outreach

Administrative skills and communication


What is required:

Background and interest in health care and health administration

Two days per week time commitment

Pursuing BS/BA/BSN/MA or equivalent

Bilingual; English and Spanish fluency

Strong communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Suite Office, including Excel

Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments

Detailed oriented; no task too big or too small

Professional demeanor and phone etiquette
