DescriptionThe Dance Connection Arts Center:
We are an integrated arts organization. We have a dance academy and a resident ballet company. Throughout the year, we produce several public events, many of which have coordinated educational outreach programs. We operate based on the most recent developments in management technology and marketing. People that work with us are part of an organization that’s flexible, creative and attentive to detail.
Interns will work along side the director and staff to produce events and manage ongoing programs. During this internship, you will be part of the strategic planning meetings, and you will participate in the creation and execution of the systems processes that run our company. In addition, Interns help to manage staffing and inventory, the acquisition of licenses and permits, and do vendor research. In the work that you do here you will learn a lot about project management, event planning and systems processes.
This is a credit bearing internship. Gas stipend and meals will be provided.
This position will be from 8/29/2016 until 12/18/2016.
RequirementsIntern should be proficient in Microsoft office, and have competent writing skills. Strong interpersonal skills are essential. Majors in Arts administrations, business management, administration, and event planning should apply. This internship requires time management and scheduling skills. We like interns that are detail oriented, ask questions, and find elegant solutions to problems.
