DescriptionBlueLinx Holdings Inc. (BlueLinx) is a distributor of building products in North America. The Company operates its distribution business through a network of approximately 49 distribution centers. It distributes approximately 10,000 products from over 750 suppliers to service approximately 11,500 customers across the nation, including dealers, industrial manufacturers, manufactured housing producers, and home improvement retailers. It distributes products in two categories: structural products and specialty products. It provides a range of value-added services and solutions to its customers and suppliers, including less-than-truckload delivery services; pre-negotiated program pricing plans; inventory stocking; automated order processing through an electronic data interchange (EDI); intermodal distribution services, and backhaul services.
ResponsibilitiesProduce accurate retrieval of the designated UPCs as listed on the Line Leader programs
Process documents by reviewing data for deficiencies; resolving discrepancies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution
Enter UPCs and other items into Scheels systems both timely and accurately
Purchase order creation for all Scheels locations in an effective and accurate manner
Provides support to Lead Receptionist - receive calls from vendors/customers, and then determine the nature of business, and direct the call to the appropriate destination
Performs general clerical functions such as sorting, routing and distribution of mail; types material from typed or handwritten copy; prepares correspondence, reports and other documents
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed prior to deadlines
Maintain orderly appearance of personal work space and surrounding areas
Contribute to a work environment that fosters price in being part of a winning team and promotes personal growth
Assist with all other duties as assigned
RequirementsAbility to utilize computerized data entry equipment and various word processing, spreadsheet, and file maintenance programs to enter, store and/or retrieve information
Experience in Excel
Enter alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from source documents
Demonstrate strong organization and attention to detail skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to complete basic mathematical equations
Uphold a professional appearance at all times with all associates
