Position Summary:The Event Planner is responsible for event management activities for Latin Expo Group, LLC. Reporting to the Tradeshow Manager, this role is responsible for functional and technical event planning of tradeshows and exhibits, as well as the management of exhibitors and on-site management of events.

Business Overview:The Latin Expo Group is a professional International event company with emphasis in the automotive and tire industry. Our Automotive events provide B2B businesses access to the Latin American and Caribbean Automotive markets.

New is our North American Tire & Retread Expo in New Orleans, Louisiana providing a standalone tire and tire retread industry expo for the first time in many years. For 2017 we will present three new expos, B2B in Latin America for the Electronics Indu

Responsibilities

Functional and Technical Event Planning:- Collaborate with team leaders to establish appropriate tradeshow strategies; centrally managing a tradeshow and event. - Manage 2+ national and 3+ international shows. - Facilitate the necessary levels of event planning and orchestrate the required time management to properly plan and execute events. - Works with tradeshow vendors to ensure appropriate branding and messaging is printed and or displayed on exhibit booths, promotional products, and marketing collateral. Responsible for choosing promotional items for shows and establishing strategies for increasing traffic and demand at exhibit booths.


On-Site Event Management: - Travel as necessary to implement shows and exhibits and accompany a larger planning team to execute international and national events.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Functional Knowledge: - Possesses a strong skill set to source event venues, create and manage event components.- Work requires interpretation and independent judgment to help ensure project success.

- Skilled in Microsoft Windows suite (excel, outlook, word).

Business Expertise: - Frequently handles situations involving uncertainty and the need for interpretation and evaluation resulting from continuing changes.

Leadership: - Individual contributor; may provide guidance and or coordinate the work activities of others. - Quickly and effectively responds to client needs and event requests.Communication Skills: - Must be a strong and well-rounded communicator, and effectively communicate with peers or team members and to clients.

Preferred Qualifications:- 2 years of customer service and sales experience

MUST be fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese (verbal and written)
Must be able to travel during days of trade shows (nationally and internationally)

Education:High School Diploma or GED is required Bachelors Degree or courses towards bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.
