DescriptionMath Magazine seeks an organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented Sales and Client Management Intern. Math Magazine is a quickly growing startup that needs to expand distribution, develop sustainable accounts with retailers, and create new distribution opportunities. ResponsibilitiesIntern will be responsible for communicating with retailers, writing text and gathering content for sales promo materials, researching and working with advertisers, and other tasks related to growing the reseller and subscriber base of the magazine.
Maintain accounts with retailers in the United States
Develop retail accounts, internationally
Create new distribution opportunities through other outlets, ex: box subscriptions, other brands
Work directly with Operations Manager and Editor-in-Chief
RequirementsApplicant must have experience with sales, B2B account management, or business development. It is important that the Math Magazine Sales & Business Development Intern is self-motivated, capable of conducting research, and interested in growing with the company. Must be highly articulate in writing and in-person.
Proficient in Dropbox, Google Drive, Slack, and WorkFlowy and related software
Experience with sales, B2B account management, or business development
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Must be available to work 20 hours a week, remote
Must be available to meet for 2 hours, once a week at Bat Haus, 279 Starr St, Brooklyn, NY 11237
