DescriptionThe Long Island Plastic Surgical Group (LIPSG) is the nation's largest private academic plastic surgery practice serving Long Island and the New York metro area. Established in 1948, LIPSG has treated over half a million patients and developed many of the region's specialty centers including microsurgery, burn surgery, wound care, facial reanimation, peripheral nerve reconstruction, and cleft care.
The size of LIPSG and its connections to the community has always, and continue to, set the group apart from other practices in the region. The continually expanding partnership of surgeons provides the full spectrum of plastic and reconstructive surgery that no one else in the community can offer.
The Intern assumes administrative roles involving duties and responsibilities commonly assigned to an entry-level position. The intern will be encouraged to explore other areas of interest within the secretarial department that will be supplemental to the learning experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Follow proper office procedures, phone protocol, operational record keeping, and other paperwork procedures commonly used in the daily function of the secretarial department
• Attend staff meetings on a regular basis.
• Participate in orientation that includes facilities tour, staff introductions, overview of department procedures, familiarization with customer services, and review of intern duties
This is a paid, year round, non-seasonal position with flexible hours.
Must be able to work a minimum of 10 hours per week.

Working towards or has completed a bachelor’s degree in any related field.
Must have a 3.0 GPA for consideration
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. upon graduation.
