$35k annually with opportunity for progression pay increases. The Patrol Officer position is responsible for a patrol route, accomplishing all patrol stop tasks within a scheduled guideline. The Patrol Officer is a highly visible position within the company affording the opportunity to be an ambassador for the company. This position requires excellent communication skills, both oral and written. The job requires critical thinking skills, with the ability to quickly observe a situation and make the appropriate response.
Submit formal reports of each patrol performed and issues identified via an automated reporting system and telephonic communication
Practices safe driving skills both on and off duty
Maintains a HIGHLY visible presence observing and reporting all unusual activity
Conducts security checks and inspects building entrances and exits
Patrolling, inspecting and/ or securing access areas into and onto client's premises, as well as to highly sensitive locations within the buildings
Locks and unlocks areas according to schedule
Conducts and reports results of site safety and security inspections
Complete documentation of observations, activities and actions completed
Continue to adapt and innovate for maximum efficiency and profitability in a dynamic environment
RequirementsDuties include but are not limited to:
Ability to establish priorities
Ability to identify and articulate events through pictures, audio and the written word using an automated reporting program
Responds to Alarms
Reviews utilization and maintenance of security equipment
Communicates with clients about security needs and problems
All other duties as assigned by PSS Management Team
Essential Skills and Experience:
Excellent driving skills, clean driving record
Ability to make critical decisions and stay calm in emergency situations
Working knowledge of computer applications, word, excel, fire panels &video recording equipment
Physical capability to access all PSS Client Locations to include climbing stairs
Must have adequate vision corrected to 20/20 and hearing
Strong organizational skills
Good communication skills, both internal and external
Self-starting, working well independently and with little supervision
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and make timely decisions
Demonstrated high level of accuracy
Ability to upwards communicate
Valid driver’s license
