DescriptionWorking with the Firm's Chief Operating Officer and local Office Managing Partner, this individual will be responsible for the day to day operations of the fast paced Minneapolis office of a national law firm to ensure peak operating efficiency/profitability and for maintaining excellent relations/communications with all attorneys and administrative staff.
ResponsibilitiesAssist with the full local business cycle (P&L) of local office clients including opening new matters, budgeting, billing and collections as needed.
- Partnering with Human Resources for the recruitment of legal administrative support staff including reviewing resumes, interviewing and on-boarding.
-Training, supervising, counseling, resource allocation and evaluation of all support staff and successful integration of attorneys.
-Supporting attorneys with local client development and marketing initiatives including the offices participating in various organizations, special programs and events to enhance the offices' image and visibility in the local community.
-Overseeing office operations, vendor management functions including: workflow processes, IS systems/business equipment, office supplies, inventory control, reception, office services, records management, space allocation, safety, business continuity, special projects, etc.
-Act as a liaison between the Minneapolis office and the various Administrative Departments
-Resolve general support staff issues, conduct counseling meetings, and work in partnership with Human Resource to implement disciplinary actions when needed for the support staff.
Requirements• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• General knowledge of Microsoft Office, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Powerpoint
• Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced industry
