Under the supervision of the Office Manager, this approximately 20 hours a week, hands on position will be responsible for assisting across multiple program areas including event coordination, development, communications, and administration. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: General administrative support: file, organize, mail outgoing orders, maintain inventory, order and stock general office/supplies Providing customer support for local and international orders.

Responsibilities

Previous experience in administration, and communications preferred with a track record of excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. Willingness to be used where most needed. Our ideal candidate is: highly organized, detail oriented, follows deadlines, juggles multiple tasks, takes initiative, and can manage their own workload. Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. Proficiency using Microsoft Office.
Assist department personnel in assigned administrative, planning, organizational, technical, and professional tasks.
Provide suggestions or recommendations with regard to department specific projects. Perform specific tasks related to the actual department vacancy; and performs related duties, as required. Providing efficient customer service and communicating clearly and objectively both verbally and in writing. Organizing with the ability to prioritize work and exercise independent judgment, wisdom, common sense, and initiative. Thoroughly carrying out oral and written instructions.
Gathering and analyzing data; preparing narrative reports and performing numerical analysis
Evaluating and recommending changes to policies, programs, and practices.
Conducting research; proficiently utilizing a personal computer in completing special projects.

Requirements

 Able to manage stress timely and effectively
 Strong ability to use standard business software and applications
 Demonstrated ability to remain self motivated at all times
 Internet savvy with a proven expertise in using MS Office applications
 Expert in handling office equipment including copiers and fax machines
