ResponsibilitiesProvides financial and statistical information to management, staff, and external customers in compliance with internal and external requirements by managing, monitoring, and accessing the organizations financial and other systems and analyzing and verifying the inputs and outputs to those systems. Maintains financial records and systems in accordance with GAAP, LVHS, Inc. policies and the Healthcare Audit Guide. Interacts with staff, management, and other customers in a friendly, courteous, professional, and helpful manner. Demonstrates a high degree of flexibility in performance of work, responsibilities, and assignments.
RequirementsMinimum Requirements: Work requires basic analytical ability to identify and resolve problems that require the use of mathematical, statistical, and financial principles acquired through a minimum of one (1) year of work experience as an accountant or the equivalent. Work requires knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles acquired through successful completion of bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience. Work requires the ability to understand the basic interrelationships between the financial systems and the various other systems and inputs that impact the financial systems. This ability normally is acquired through computer education and work experience in a computerized environment. Work requires professional demeanor, appearance, and attitude with a high orientation toward meeting customer requirements in a flexible, courteous manner. Must function cooperatively as part of the finance team and exhibit flexibility in response to changing demands and priorities. Work requires excellent written and oral communication skills with a need for communications to be complete, concise, and understandable to whatever target audience which can vary from senior management to department managers, and other finance and non-finance staff. Work requires working knowledge and capabilities in the use of computers and an aptitude for automated financial systems. Working knowledge of MS Office Products, and Excel is required.
Preferred Qualifications: Three (3) years of work experience as an accountant or the equivalent.
