DescriptionWholesale Operations & Logistics - INTERN
Arbor Gentry LLC, as a furniture manufacturing company is currently seeking an Wholesale Operations and Logistics Intern, permanently based in North Carolina. Our design offices are located in the Financial District of New York City.
This position is responsible for our daily operational order and lifecycle distribution of all orders from and to our factory. This position is responsible to coordinate the distribution center’s consolidation, order fulfillment, Purchase order creation, and inventory tracking. Strategically plan and manage the coordination of all receiving, inventory warehousing, order tracking, shipping, and logistical activities.
Responsible for maintaining operational objectives, reconciliation and budgetary costs, raw material and inventory count accuracy, physical inventory reconciliation, analyze data and implement improvements.
Communicate thoroughly and make management phone calls to the factory.
Maintain an environment that facilitates continuous improvements through employee suggestions and empowerment
Daily interaction with all levels of employees
Provide leadership and mentoring
Negotiate with carriers,and raw material providers
BS Degree (pursuing or equivalent) or higher education
Some experience in warehousing and logistics or equivalent
Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills and problem solving skills
Ability to develop good working relationship with all teammates
Good computer proficiency
Self motivated with good organization and planning skills, results oriented
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
