Description

Work for Progress recruits for groups in the Public Interest Network like USPIRG, Environment America and the National Environmental Law Center. Our groups look for solutions to help the environment, consumers, and to expand voting rights. Our professional staff combines independent research, practical ideas and tough-minded advocacy to overcome the opposition of powerful special interests and win real results for Colorado and the country.

Over the years, our network has also recruited and trained thousands of people. Many have moved up to become leaders of our own network. Others have moved on to replenish and renew the ranks of the rest of the public interest community. These activists are what people have called our "activist pipeline" and the work ethic, strategic approach and commitment to change are our most enduring and influential legacy.

We need a detail-oriented, administrative intern who enjoys interacting with people and who wants to learn about recruiting candidates and running issue campaigns for multiple organizations.

The Public Interest Network, a political advocacy organization, is looking for a summer intern in our Denver location. This is an unpaid internship, so we are willing to help you receive class credit in exchange for your hours. This is an educational internship, so you should be learning skills about writing, research, recruitment, human resources, and communications as part of this internship.
