Future Investor Clubs of America (FICA) is looking for a qualified intern to join our sales and marketing/advertising team to help support our corporate expansion efforts in markets natiowide. FICA has a long history of providing financial education, e-learning, software, camps, news and workshop services which started in 1997. FICA provides internship sales and marketing, e-learning, news, financial analytics, basic, advance, executive, leadership and international training opportunities to high school students and college under-graduate levels.

The Sales and Marketing Internship is a flexible 60, 90 and or 120 day program which begins in the summer, fall, winter and spring semesters. Through the FICA Sales and Marketing project, all our interns are required to attend financial educating training sessions. Each session is designed to meet the standards/Competencies/Learning Outcomes established by Federal and State Departments of Education for economics, personal finance and financial literacy. Successful completion of the internship will qualify interns to receive a FICA Certificate of Completion. Interns for the summer program will be selected from applicants who are considering (or are currently) attending college to study business, finance, marketing and or public relations.

The FICA internship has a program concentration in business, finance, leadership, community outreach, sales and marketing. It also includes practical experiences in investing, financial services, business, sponsorship development and data management. Approximate length of time in each session is: Sales and Marketing, Community Outreach, Promotions, Data Management and Leadership, up to 10 weeks. Business and Financial Intelligence Training, up to 2 weeks; Business and Financial Training experiences up to 2 weeks to take place in Manhattan, NY, Washington DC, and or Orlando, Florida. Community Outreach, Management, Leadership, Sales and Marketing up to 8 weeks experiences to take place locally.

Responsibilities

This FICA intern should be prepared to work as part of a sales, marketing team and independently should the opportunity arise. Working in both evironments will provide our intern with a very broad experience in various aspects of sales, marketing, promotions and sponsorship development.

Responsibilities

•Assist in the creation e-mail campaigns and on-line promotion etc...
•Assist in the distribution or delivery of marketing materials
•Assist with contacting potential small business sponsors
•Assist with execution of trade shows
•Assist with the delivery of training materials
•Perform analysis of marketing and sales data
•Seek and analyze competitor marketing and sales materials both on and offline
•Prepare presentations
•Open and sort mail
•Enter contact information into contact management systems
•Provide support to social media efforts
•Maintain tracking report of public relations activity
•Complete sponsorship and promotion applications
•Arrange meetings to pickup sponsorship checks and forward to home office
•Meet with education, community and organization leaders
•Attend Financial Education training sessions,
•Attend Sales and Marketing development training sessions.
•Provide leadership to when required to other interns.

Requirements

Future Investor Clubs of America is looking for high school, undergraduate and graduate students in various cites nationwide who are primarily majoring in Sales, Marketing or Advertising. This person should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with extensive knowledge of Web and social media. PowerPoint, Word and Excel experience is a bonus, and will be considered when choosing the best applicant for this internship position. Interns that qualify will also be assigned one or two weeks of Financial and Leadership training.

Academic Experience:

The 6-12-week internship has a strong sales, marketing, financial and leadership component. Each session is combined with classroom study, financial field trips, travel, sales, marketing and community outreach. In the selection process, we will select a group of students per year who have met the requirements for the Academies of Finance, College of Business, Marketing, College Prep and has a good GPA.

Criteria for Selection of Future Investor Clubs of America Internship Applicants Include:

• Must be a Junior or Senior in High School or College Business, Finance and or Marketing Student.
• A GPA of 3.0 with no grade lower than a B- in conduct if applicable
• Business Club/Classes, Financial Club/Classes and or Marketing Course-related work, workshop and/or volunteer experience.

In addition, the FICA internship provides up to 480 hours of supervised and independent learning experience distributed as the following:

• 60% Sales and Marketing
• 15% Community Outreach
• 20% Financial and Leadership Training
• 5% Fundamental, Technical and Data Research

Sales and Marketing:

The Sales and Marketing experience occurs locally during the summer months; the intern will work in cooperation with FICA Leadership in making presentations to individuals, professionals, small businesses, corporate managers and executives.

Community Outreach

Interns will present FICA training services to community base organizations and small businesses.

Financial Training:

During the summer, interns will spend up to two weeks attending financial training sessions at Columbia University in New York or similar training location.

Fundamental and Technical Analysis Education:

The Fundamental and Technical Analysis education component is spread throughout the BFIT and AFIT sessions of the training.
