What is an Advertising Sales Executive?
The Advertising Sales Executive is the most important position in our company. You will get a chance to sell the next big thing in advertising to business owners in Chicago and later nationwide. Our advertising medium is individually packaged wet wipes and we deliver them to thousands of restaurant customers every day.

What is my day like?
You day will start with walking the CEO’s dog. Just kidding, he doesn’t have one :)
Once you come in the office, you will participate in daily team meeting and activity preparation session. Then spend 6-7 hours in your assigned territory acquiring new small and independent business customers. Typical hours are 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.

The Total Package
Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission (Average estimated 1 st yr. income $50,000 )
Quarterly bonus up to 20% of base pay

Responsibilities

Build relationships with clients.
Understand the needs of each client.
Know all advertising options.
Keep abreast of changes within the publication's demographics.
Use statistics in sales pitch.
Perform extensive research on clients and competitors.
Convey ad changes and discrepancies to copywriter.
Perform research on trend analysis.
Generate revenue for print products to include run-of-book print ads and print advertising inserts.
Focus on growing existing accounts and acquiring new clients.
Conduct meetings.
Make sales presentations.
Sell general or direct response print ads to a weekly or monthly publication.
Generate and describe creative, results-focused marketing concepts to a diverse client base.
Handle incoming inquiries to buy ad space.
Book sales appointments.
Walk door-to-door and solicit business.

Requirements

Successful Candidates Will Possess
Minimum of 1 year sales experience, advertising sales preferred
Recent college graduates with 6 months sales experience encouraged to apply
Outstanding customer service and communication skills
Energetic and persistent (do not take no for an answer)
Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high energy environment
Capable of meeting and or exceeding monthly activity and sales goals
Bachelor's degree preferred, High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
Valid driver's license
