As an online marketing intern you will be placed on a project team under the supervision of our CMO. Marketing today demands all customer touch points deliver a unified brand personality that will be memorable and will inspire action. This requires all members of the marketing team to work together under a unified vision in order to achieve success.

Successful candidates will currently be enrolled in a Marketing or Business Degree program from an accredited university. We are looking for someone with a solid foundation in development and a flare for front end design. We are looking for a team player who is willing to jump in and learn to fill in the gaps where needed.

Candidates should have the following:

Proficient in HTML/CSS
Proficient developing for WordPress
Proficient with Bootstrap, LESS/SASS, and responsive design
Experience coding for html designs
Proficient in JavaScript
Familiarity with common JavaScript libraries (jQuery/etc)
Proficient in developing in PHP/MySQL (MAMP environment)
Comfortable with UX/UI design principles
Solid understanding of web security principles
Able to articulate ideas in both written and oral communications
Able to contribute broadly as a team member to drive communications and marketing goals

Additional Skills

Experience with social media integration
Experience with online fundraising/integration
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator/etc)



Responsibilities

Assist with the weekly/ adhoc reporting and invoice process across marketing programs
Assist in budgeting, planning, and forecasting
Manage the operational aspects of the email marketing program including campaign setup, deployment and reporting
Develop partnerships and grow business with new and existing affiliates/publishers
Liaison with the various internal teams (Marketing, Ecommerce, Creative, IT…) to facilitate multiple web projects
Support the manager on strategic projects as required
Work with external vendors as needed

Requirements

Background required:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree Marketing/ Finance or equivalent
Passion for digital media, technology and marketing
Knowledge and experience using social media
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills are essential
Strong proficiency in MS Excel is required. Working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint is a plus.
Basic knowledge of data analytics tools is preferred (Omniture, Google Analytics etc.)

We are seeking someone who has a "can do" attitude and is not afraid to get his/her hands dirty. You should be creative and at the same time comfortable working with a data in MS Excel.
This position requires an enthusiastic multi-tasker with excellent written and verbal communication and an ability to work with internal and external audiences.
