Job Overview:
As an Advertising Agency Account Executive/Sales Representative Intern, you will work closely with the Agency Principal as well as other team members to learn the daily activities and responsibilities of an Advertising Agency - Account Executive/Sales Representative. Although there is no base pay, you will have the opportunity to earn commission and bonuses on all revenue you help generate as you learn the position. Once the 6 month Internship is completed, there will be the opportunity to apply to join our team as a full or part-time Account Executive.

Executive & Team support & shadowing
Advertising Sales
Lead Generation
Cold Calling
Project management
Quantitative and qualitative research
Strategic marketing planning
Marketing budget planning
Filing & Organization of client information
Inbound and outbound phone calls
Maintain calendar for appointments, calls and meetings
Maintain, improve and increase customer database via Marketing Automation Software
Create Marketing Automation campaigns
Create agendas for company & client meetings
Help improve company handbooks, training manuals, etc.
Prepare daily mail/correspondence
Create, review and critique advertising programs and packages
Coordinate meetings, including conference room set-up, beverages/food, etc.
Maintain client files, contacts database and record keeping
Research, synthesize and compile research and materials needed for important meetings, calls and projects
Draft, review and proofread proposals and reports for clients (PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
Assist with planning special events (business dinners, networking events, etc.)
Plan and prepare written updates to team
Post to Social Media & company blogs


- Education related to advertising and marketing
- Education or training related to the professional selling process
- Understanding of business operations
- Outgoing, positive personality
-The desire to engage directly and enthusiastically, including on the phone and in person on location, with our advertising clients' customers and prospective customers
- Proactive, "get it done" work ethic
- Strong skills in writing, presentation (Microsoft Office Suite), interpersonal relations, and customer service.
- Provide evidence as you see appropriate to demonstrate your ability and interest
- Computer with internet connection and the ability to communicate via Skype, cell phone and SMS (text)
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint & Excel)
- Reliable transportation to and from St. Louis Park office, events and customer locations
- Clean driving record
- Background check and drug testing required
