DescriptionABOUT THE CREAMERY
One of the largest sheep dairies in the US with 600 dairy sheep, 100 goats and 50 dairy cows.
We are making over 30 types of cheese and aging all of them in a cave.
We are selling at over 20 farm markets per week in NJ and NY and to many restaurants nationally.

DESCRIPTION OF INTERNSHIPS
NO SUMMER INTERNSHIP. PLEASE READ BELOW !
The internships at Valley Shepherd are available at two time periods;
3 months internship: starting April 5, ending July 5, 2012
5 months OR MORE ending November 25, 2012 and starting no later then middle of June, 2012
the internship will involve work in three areas;
1- making cheese with us in the production room
2- driving to farmer markets and selling cheese to the public. (markets are in NJ and in NYC)
3- working in our cheese cave managing our aging cheese.
ResponsibilitiesAmount of work: about 60 hours/week
Days off: one or two days. Monday and/or Tuesday
Pay: fixed stipend of $300/week net .
Housing: Provided free on the farm, two to a room. House has kitchen for cooking.

Able to lift 25 kg wheel of cheese and in good condition.
