DescriptionOur non-profit educational farm is offering a live-in Internship opportunity for Interns who truly want the knowledge of working and living on a private animal and plant farm, naturally.
As a live-in Intern you will be furnished room in our Bunk Room and food which includes all healthy organically based meals. There are no white flour or sugar products used for food in this home. Interns must be open to eating healthy which includes vegetables, gluten-free meals. Soda and artificial beverages and by-products are not permitted nor served.
Interns participate and engage all farm duties. You will be expected to be independent and assist with meal preparation and laundry prepare as well as the upkeep of your sleeping quarters.
You will participate in our Active "Learning by Doing" program. You will work with a Farm Team Asst. and work on daily tasks and projects on a Organically driven farm and animal educational facility. Farm Life Foundation is 501c3 a non-profit organization which offers classes and programs to students for learning purposes. It also offers community events and tours.
You will be assigned daily duties that will teach you how to maintain, manage and live on a natural based farm which is environmentally friendly. This includes growing plants, caring for farm animals such as: Cows, Horse, Mini-Ponies, Goats, Alpacas, Llama, Ducks, Turkey, Hens, Roosters, Pigs, Cats, Dogs, Birds, Rabbits and Fish. There are insects on this farm like spiders and honey bees, wasps not to mention a few snakes. We do not harm any of them. We will relocate them. Interns must be comfortable with this type of natural living in a farm environment.
Each internship holds a min. of six months. Application and background check including social media is understood Must have excellent business and/or personal references. Minimum age for all Interns is 18 yrs. of age.
Our organization supports those interested in continuing "hands on" education at any age between 18 and 99.
The farm day starts at sunrise and ends at sunset. Minimum Internship is typically 6 - 12 months due to training.
*Opportunity for future residency long term for Independent single candidate who wants to live and work on a natural, environmentally, community based farm. Our farm is approx. 30 mins. from Jacksonville and approx. 55 mins. from St. Augustine! Two great cities!
ResponsibilitiesResponsible for maintaining Natural based dairy and educational farm including over 200 animals with gardens and fields. Work with Farm Assistant. Refer to Intern Agreement, Property Policies in addition to above Intern description.
Interns must view and know all information on both websites and Facebook to keep up to date on businesses.

Orientation will include review of all websites to ensure Intern understand expectations, purpose and mission of this Foundation. Please Google both NaVera Farms and Farm Life Foundation for references as well as YouTube for many videos.
RequirementsMust be able to communicate verbally in English and understand English. Must have a passion and desire to learn and become involved in farming naturally.
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner times are understood and honored. Interns are asked to retire to their Bunk Room by 9:00pm each night to ensure a good nights sleep. Currently, all males reside on property. Two are partners.
Must be humble, polite and respectful with a pleasant personality. Open to all types of people without discrimination or judgment on gender preference, religion origin or race. You may bring your computer/laptop or you are welcome to use one of our computers which also includes a printer/scanner and copier. Computer time is after farm is closed at night and all animals have been checked as per training.
As a working farm it is understood that each team member continues to dedicate each hour to farm duties. This is not hard work and quite enjoyable.
Smoking and tobacco use is not permitted.
The farm residence offers direct line "Ethernet" internet access, computers, fax and copy machine, media room and relaxation room. Wi-Fi does not exist at this residence or farm property. Cell phone are not permitted in residence or animal farm. A designated cell phone storage and usage area will be assigned outdoors. This business and property strives to provide a "safe" EMF, EMR zone for all living things.
