Clay Arts Charleston
A high attention to detail is required for this summer internship. Experience throwing with porcelain and earthenware, glaze making preferred for this position. Must know how to use electric kilns, both digital and kiln sitters. We need someone reliable, who can take constructive criticism in stride, and clean up after themselves. Access to a fully equipped ceramic and interior design studio that you are welcome to use for your own work, space and time permitting.


- Support and expand public relations with collectors, media contacts, artists and the general public
- Assist in managing studio operations
- Assist in product development, fabrication, kiln loading and firing, glaze formulation and studio maintenance.

- Assist in website maintenance, blog and social media network presence
- Handle and curate valuable artwork


- Studio Arts, Marketing, Business/Accounting, Art History, Communications Majors (preferred)
- Possess excellent visual, written and verbal communication
- Possess multi-tasking and coordination experience
- Passion for art; actively involved in the art community, portfolio required.
- Demonstrate attention to details while maintaining perspective
- Have working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, basic HTML, active involvement in the studio clay process
