Ideasmyth is seeking an aesthetically savvy and self-starting intern who is eager to get hands-on experience. While this internship is unpaid, interns will have the opportunity to polish their skills, build their portfolio and gain insight into how graphic design/animation/video best support branding goals.

Ideasmyth interns will be exposed to all aspects of an entrepreneurial small business and encouraged to develop strong communication and professional skills to give them a competitive advantage in the workforce.

This internship program is designed to be an educational and career-advancing experience where interns will be doing meaningful work to advance their careers. While unpaid at this time, every effort will be made to reward superior performance.


Assist in developing visuals (graphics, animations, videos) for our website, blog, marketing materials and social media platforms
For videos: create from storyboards to scripts to editing final version
Research engaging speaking, interviewing and viral video techniques
Edit videos from live Ideasmyth seminars, panel discussions and events for social media
Document and/or assist videographer(s) at events


Currently enrolled in (or recently completed) an Animations/Graphics Design undergraduate or graduate program; more experienced candidates preferred
Hours: Ability to commit to 15 to 20 hours per week (office hours: Mon-Thurs 9am-2pm)
Timeline: Minimum of 3 months (preferred candidates: those wanting 6 months of work experience and graduate students)
Essential equipment: smartphone, laptop and headphones
Comfortable learning new technology and software
Outstanding communication skills (analytical, verbal, written)
Ideally: Familiarity and/or active user of the social media platforms we post to (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube)
Working knowledge and access to animations and graphics applications (i.e.: Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Illustrator, Maya or equivalent)
Working knowledge and access to video editing software (i.e.: Wondershare Filmora, Blender, Virtualdub, iMovie, etc.)
Detail-obsessed ninja who enjoys juggling multiple projects
Insatiable curiosity
An upbeat goals junkie who enjoys being an awesome team player!
