We seek candidates passionate about visual / performing arts and motivated to gain experience in a Art Center setting. Necessary qualifications include organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize, in addition to diligence and dependency. We are looking for candidates who take direction, and work well within a team or independently as needed. Previous experience in an administrative (or related) role in an Art Center or museum setting is helpful. Knowledge of South Asian art is not mandatory, but a willingness to learn is required. We expect our interns to be presentable and professional, as they act as the initial representatives of the Art Center. Experience with MS Office is necessary; knowledge of Photoshop and/or inventorying is preferred, but not required. Our Art Center has a small staff, so communication and an interest in all Art Center projects, from administrative tasks to art handling, is expected.
