Description

We are currently recruiting interns to research and write profiles of artists for our online magazine. We focus on providing content by, for, and about caregivers. We have a monthly readership of 60k and several thousand members.

Many artists -- such as Joseph Cornell, Philip Hoffman, Kirsty Mitchell, and Adrian Howell -- were inspired by experiences they had caring for ill, disabled, and elderly family members. We'd like to highlight these artists in a series of profiles.

The Caregiver Space is a start-up non-profit that is building a community of professional and family caregivers. We provide community support and help caregivers navigate available resources. By working with such a small team, you have an opportunity to contribute significantly to the organization and the work we do.

We rely almost exclusively on volunteers to operate. That makes us exceptionally motivated to make sure our volunteers enjoy their time with us - and get something out of it, both personally and professionally.

Responsibilities

Writers may work remotely, and commit to writing 2+ profiles a month.

Requirements

The best candidates have some previous writing experience. Interest and prior experience in healthcare, nonprofits, and caregiving is a plus!
