Jimmy Potters Workshop is searching for energetic part-time art and/or ceramic instructors to teach mobile clay classes to elementary school students. We currently teach in nearly 52 elementary schools throughout Northern Virginia, DC, and Maryland. If you have experience in the arts, or experience teaching in any academic area, and want to share your interests and excitement with children, this is the position for you!
You will be joining our team of creative art and ceramic instructors.

ResponsibilitiesHours: This is a part-time hourly position (approximately 16-20 hours/wk): 2:00 PM -- 6:00 PM; plus extra hours on occasional school ½ days and full-day school closings.
•Attend paid instructor training
•Teach one-hour-a-week after school ceramic programs at 3-5 elementary schools each week during the season
•Maintain and keep attendance records and write a weekly email to all parents
•(Optional) Teach summer clay camps
RequirementsWhat will you need to be successful in this job?
•Enthusiasm for ceramics and Art
•Energetic personality and someone who works well with children
•Availability at after-school times at least 2-3 days per week
•The ability to handle any unexpected challenges that may arise before, after or during your class time
