Description

Building Bridges Art Exchange (BBAX) is a non profit 501(c) (3) art organization dedicated to cultivating understanding among cultures worldwide through international art exchanges, artists residencies, workshop programs and educational seminars on art and culture. We serve as a nexus between artists, cultural art centers, museums and countries through promoting and exhibiting art around the world—at present we work with over 17 countries. Our main mission is to engage international and local artists and communities while promoting new and emerging forms of artistic expression. Our gallery is located in Santa Monica’s Bergamot Station Arts Center, a community of over 30 galleries and art-related businesses.

Activities/Responsibilities:

Assistance with in-depth research of appropriate funding sources including donations, financial assistance programs and, primarily, government and private grants.
Gathering and organizing data and relevant statistics for grant proposals.
Assisting with draft writing and editing.
Participation and overall assistance with grant planning, execution and submission

Responsibilities

Activities/Responsibilities:

Weekly Workload:

6 hours, one day per week.

Requirements

Experience and Requirements:

Self-motivated and hard working
Organized with the ability to adhere to deadlines
Strong writing, editing and language skills
Passion for the arts
Previous education or experience with grant writing and research
Computer literacy for Mac and MS Office
