Mission Statement

The Thunderbird Foundation for the Arts is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization furthering Maynard Dixon's legacy by preserving his Utah property and educating the public about his contributions to American art through educational tours of his home, internships for working artists, workshops and artist retreats in addition to workshops and day camps for people with special needs.

A sophisticated online catalog raisonee of the art of Maynard Dixon has already been started. Our goal is to complete this project by properly listing all of the artwork by date, size, medium and title. In turn this online art catalog will be made available to subscribers to the foundation link to the site.

Intern must have a thorough knowledge of the life and art of Maynard Dixon in addition to the following:

Communications Majors (preferred)
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication
- Possess multi-tasking and coordination experience
- Passion for art; actively involved in the art community
- Demonstrate attention to details while maintaining perspective
- Have working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, basic HTML, MS Office Suite

Responsibilities

Daily completion of the forms required for the website with the ability in certain cases to publish with HTML.
Images may be needed to be improved using Photoshop or similar software.
