Always be on the alert for potentially fraudulent job postings online - never send money to a potential employer.
DescriptionThe dual mission of our company is to:
1. Help businesses and organizations of all sizes to create successful, profitable, and easy-to-manage internship programs by recruiting, screening, intern-viewing, and placing interns.
2. Create exciting, high-level, career-building internship opportunities for interns.
(We also provide consulting and public speaking services.)
This internship is virtual. You will work from home (or school, or Starbucks, or the library…or wherever). You can work anywhere as long as you have reliable internet connection and a quiet area for Skype meetings.
In addition to receiving high-level skills and experience that will forward your career goals and immediately increase your prospects for higher-paying, more rewarding jobs, you will also receive mentoring on your résumé, interviewing skills, and professional goals. Any work that is not confidential can be added to your professional portfolio. You will directly with the video and other creative teams. You will also have frequent input and communications with the Founder of our company and get the inside, behind-the-scenes view of a start-up, virtual, national/international company. You will have access to a variety of training materials on sales, marketing, internship program management, and other topics, worth thousands of dollars. Successful interns will receive a top-notch letter of recommendation and referrals to important business and employment contacts. In addition, we will gladly help you arrange for academic credit.
This is an unpaid internship, but the experience is priceless!
ResponsibilitiesScript, story board, film, edit and promote videos for testimonials, talk shows, and/or our membership community (decide on topics for videos, create the final script to be approved by the team, supervisor, and CEO, schedule, find/create, and edit video footage); work with our YouTube guru and our channel; work hand in hand with our creative team of talented writers, social media and graphic designers! You do not need to be an expert, but rather have a thirst for learning about our company and growing as a Video Mogul!
This is a learning environment; we don't expect you to know everything! To be an ideal candidate you should have prior educational and/or work experience in video creating/editing/animation. You should also be creative and be able to conduct some research and analysis. If you want to be a producer someday, this internship will give you that experience!
Internet connection, your own computer, Skype, phone, and your own camera and video editing software (for example, Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Suite) - you want to be your own version of Steven Spielberg when you make it big!
Immediately! Approximately 10 hours a week for 20 weeks; we are flexible and your internship is negotiable. We will work with you.
Skills and abilities:
Experience using video editing software (Final Cut Pro, Avid, Premier, After Effects, Adobe Creative Suite 6 or higher, etc.), experience with the video production process from start to finish (script writing, shooting, editing), and researching skills. Experience with YouTube is desirable.
Comfort and proficiency with technology, including email, the Internet, and learning user-friendly software; must be organized, adaptable to changes in projects and priorities; able to multi-task and work independently; reliable, punctual, and able to attend Skype meetings once or twice a week (we will work with your schedule), and able to attend at least 5 company team meetings.
Please provide video samples before your interview.
