The Boston Fed, the First District of the Federal Reserve System, serves the New England region - Connecticut [except Fairfield County], Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
The Community Development Research Intern will support research conducting independent research, literature reviews, fact-checking publications, assisting with implementation and analysis of surveys, responding to data requests, cleaning and analyzing datasets. The intern will be responsible for producing at least one discussion paper or issue brief. Research intern will mainly focus on research related to lower income economic development, post-industrial gateway cities, and/or household financial stability issues. This is a paid internship.
RequirementsThe Community Development Research Intern should be a graduate student or recent graduate studying urban planning, public policy, economics, community development, or a related field; have strong data analysis skills; and strong oral and written communications skills. Previous research assistance experience preferred. Course work or work experience in community development, experience with statistical packages (specifically STATA) and GIS a plus.
This is an immediate part-time opening, 20 hours per week.
