About HOPE FILE Program

With over 150+ participants to date, Operation HOPE’s Fellows, Interns and Loaned Executive (FILE) Program offers exceptional young men and women the opportunity to acquire skills and build vibrant social networks that enrich career paths and build leadership skills, that will enhance overall effectiveness as future leaders.

PROGRAM SUMMARY
As a Financial Intern you will assist in the delivery of the Counseling Program & 700 Credit Score Communities (700 CSC) initiative, by providing customer service to consumers seeking credit and money management counseling. Through this internship the student will develop advance skills in management, technical assistance, and customer service.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES
•Ability to clearly communicate the mission, objectives and programs of Operation HOPE.
•Provide customer service to clients by answering phones, assisting with client intake, and scheduling appointments as needed.

Specific Skills:
•Ability to clearly communicate the mission, objectives and programs of Operation HOPE.
•Provide customer service to clients by answering phones, assisting with client intake, and scheduling appointments as needed.
•Create packets and folders for various workshops.
•Provide event reminders and confirm RSVPs before each scheduled workshop or event.
•Participate in community outreach/promotion efforts.
•Perform all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties, as assigned.
•Assist with workshops and providing admin support.

Requirements

Program Requirements
• Must have strong analytical and organizational abilities
• Knowledge of credit and credit scores
• Ability to work in a dynamic and flexible environment
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

EDUCATION: Currently enrolled in a 2 or 4 year College or University; program. Acceptable majors are: Marketing, Business, Management, Finance, Accounting and related fields.

Duration and Stipend
Duration is approximately 3-6 months from start date. Intern will work 10-15 hours per week. This position is unpaid, but college credit is available, when applicable.
