About Us:
The OAS Staff Federal Credit Union (OASFCU) is a member-owned financial institution dedicated to serving the employees and family members of the Organization of American States (OAS) and other international organizations that have a tight relation with the Western Hemisphere; therefore the majority of members have an American, Latin American, Caribbean, and Canadian backgrounds. We have been around for over 50 years and growing! Teamwork, creativity and dedication are the keys to success here.

Our three-month internship program offers the challenge of working in a fast-paced marketing department to implement, maintain, and generate traffic to the bilingual social media channels for the Credit Union.

Responsibilities

1. Perform market research to recommend the best social media platforms the credit union should implement, and work with the Marketing Officer to develop and execute them

2. Works with Marketing Officer to develop and implement recommended social media channels

3. Under limited supervision, post and update content of the implemented social media platforms

4. Monitor implemented social media platforms to respond members’ questions and comments (with supervision from Marketing Officer).

5. Monitor competitors’ social media presence

6. Develop and implement online campaigns, contests and/or promotions to launch and increase traffic to social media platforms

7. Additional duties and various projects as needed such as provide support to the Marketing officer with the planning and implementation of other marketing efforts, collect and analyze data for the purposes of recommending new loan campaigns, assist in the creation of training and sales materials for the staff.

Requirements

1. Strong oral and written communication skills in both English and Spanish

2. Undergraduate juniors and seniors attending accredited four-year colleges/universities or college students majoring in Business, Marketing, Advertising, communication or related area of focus.

3. Experience working with social media platforms

4. Creative problem solver

5. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously

6. Ability to meet attendance guidelines

7. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

8. Meet deadlines in a fast paced environment

9. Proficient in Microsoft Office

10. Adobe Photoshop or other design programs skills a plus

Preferred - Adobe Photoshop CS5, Data Analysis, Statistical Data Analysis
