Description

Department: Science Content

Position Summary: This position will be involved with a number of ongoing projects in TFI’s education efforts in the biological sciences. Projects may include developing content for various exhibits, floor programs, and public outreach events, organizing activities for the Philadelphia Science Festival, evaluating programs to communicate topics at the intersection of sociology and health, and contributing to neuroscience curriculum development.

Education Requirements: Currently pursuing a degree in a biology-related field.

Special Skills Required: Good writing, speaking, observation, and organizational skills and an interest in science communication

Schedule Requirements: At least 2 days/week and available for an occasional weekend or evening event

Other Requirements: This position involves direct contact with children. Interns must meet background clearance requirements before they can begin

Position Reports To: Chief Bioscientist
