Description

The Butterfly House, a division of the Missouri Botanical Garden, is looking for interns in their Entomology Department. The internship includes hands on work with all non-venomous invertebrates and other animals at the Butterfly House, as well as helping to maintain the butterfly collection and processing shipments. Interns will have direct interaction with the public.

Requirements

Requirements include coursework in entomology or related biological field, as well as working towards or having recently completed a degree in a biological field with at least a 2.5 GPA. Interns are required to work a minimum of one four (4) hour shift per week but not to exceed sixteen (16) hours per week unless otherwise authorized by area supervisor. The Butterfly House can be flexible concerning the number of hours and design of your internship, based on prior written proposals with agreement from the area supervisor.
