DescriptionThe Turkish American Chamber of Commerce of the Southeast United States (TACC-Southeast) was founded in 2007 as a self-supporting and non-profit organization in Atlanta, Georgia by a group professionals to facilitate commerce between the US and Turkey and to establish partnerships between Turkish and American business people.
Our mission is to promote social and economic relations between Turkey and United States, while providing members with a broad spectrum of services and new opportunities to the Turkish and American Businessmen with regards to trade, industry, agriculture, construction, mining, NGOs, manufacturing, professional activities, and other related activities.
ResponsibilitiesInternships are unpaid, one semester long, and renewable. Interns should commit to at least 15 hours of voluntary work per week. Schedules are flexible.
Interns may be expected to work after-hours and on weekends as needed depending on programming schedules.
Interns are required to perform a variety of duties and should thus be well-rounded in their work and abilities, being readily able and willing to help with any full-time staff member in addition to also helping with administrative or clerical duties such as answering phones, checking voice mail, welcoming guests, etc.
RequirementsThe TACC-Southeast is in need of motivated undergraduate or graduate students, especially those studying business, with:
• Expert research skills
• Superior organizational skills
• High academic achievement
• Excellent communication skills
• Desire to learn about other cultures
• Interest in international business and Turkey/Eurasia
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
