We are a soon-to-launch website called "THE LATEST." We have an international team that is continually growing. We hope to launch in Summer 2015.
As part of our offering, we will produce webisodes in which we discuss "the latest" in news, sports, gadgets, gossip, wine, fly fishing, comedy, viral videos, the weather, politics, music -- anything at all.
THELATEST.com is looking for two business and finance savvy individuals looking for the startup experience in building a world class brand.
Business Development and Finance duties will overlap and require constant collaboration as outlined below. The Business Development and Finance Interns will explore, on our behalf, potential strategic partnerships with: other websites; media companies; advertisers/corporate sponsors; celebrities; etc.
Since we don't yet have a site, you will have to be pretty smooth to get your foot in the door with those we want to reach out to, but what we hope you can accomplish is to get a dialogue started so that when we do launch, we can slide right in and see what we can do.
PLEASE NOTE: This idea is still in the early stages and we are pre-launch, pre-funding, pre-just about everything. We do have a demo site and we also have programmers programming.
ResponsibilitiesIdentifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments.
Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments.
Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals.
Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment.
Analyzes financial statements and projections for multiple investment opportunities.
